Add-on Sketch #9

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the add-on sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Nine Months" by Noey Hunt
Products used: Patterned paper: SEI (green), TPC studios (dots), Little Yellow Bicycle (stripes), My Mind's Eye (numbers); Stickers: Creative Imaginations; Letters: Around the Block, Creative Memories; Sketch: Sketches for Scrapbooking: One-page Sketches, Volume 1

Variation: This camera sketch was perfect for me to use on a layout of my son's monthly photo shoot. I only made a small adjustment. I wanted to use a sticker as the camera lens and I adjusted the height of the camera to fit.

Camera Banner by Katrina Hunt
Supplies - Patterned Paper, Buttons, Stickers, White Lace: Crate Paper Portrait Collection; Mania File Folder Base: Staples; Yellow Lace for Banner Hanger: Unknown; Adhesive: Scotch ATG, Fabri-Tac and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L; Stapler: Tim Holtz; Other: Sewing Machine

After seeing the sketch, it took me awhile to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I always try to look at the add on sketches from an altered piece point of view, because they are perfect for it!

I used digital frame overlays to create my “polaroid” type pictures. Elements like overlays and brushes are great to add to your photos to give them more character! You can get them fairly cheap and you can use them over and over.

I didn’t really do any variations, except add more product (stickers, lace, etc) to the basic sketch. I did use a manila file folder divider as my camera base to give my banner some stability.  I just cut it down, because I had bigger sized ones. They also gave me the tab area at the top!

Here's a closer look at the details:
