Terms of Use
All of the sketches on this site are for personal use only. They are the property of Scrapbook Generation Publishing.

Can I post the sketches from Sketch Support on my blog?
•••••••••••••••••
When you create a layout based on a sketch and share it on your blog, it's always fun to share the sketch too, to show how you interpreted it. We want everyone to benefit from the use of the sketches and to share them with others. If you would like to post a picture of the sketch on your blog that is okay. We ask that you use the jpg. of the sketch (the one that is posted on the home page of the site) and not the full sketch with directions (found on the "printable sketches" pages.) We would appreciate it if you could direct others to our site to view and print the full version of the sketch.

Can I use and post a picture of a sketch from Sketch Support for a challenge on a message board?
•••••••••
You sure can! We love seeing groups use our sketches for their challenges. It's always fun to see how each person makes the sketch their own and the different ways they adapt it to fit their style. Just like posting the sketches on a personal blog, we ask that you just post the jpg. of the sketch (the one posted on the home page of the site) and not the full sketch with directions (found on the "printable sketches" pages.) We would appreciate it if you could direct others to our site to view and print the full version of the sketch.

Do I need to email Allison before I post the sketch on my blog or use it for a challenge on a message board?
••••••••••••••••••••
Nope. There is no need to ask for permission since we are happy that you are sharing the sketches with others. Just make sure you read the two questions above first.

Can I post pictures of a sketch from the Sketches for Scrapbooking books?
•••••••••
No. We offer free sketches on Sketch Support and you are welcome to post those online. The sketches in our books are not available for viewing online with the exception of a few that we have shared as a sneak preview of the newest book. We ask that you do not post pictures of the sketches from our books.

Can I post my layouts based on the sketches online?
••••••••
Absolutely!

If I make a layout based on a sketch from Sketch Support and Scrapbook Generation Publishing and post in it an online gallery or on my blog should I give credit for the sketch?
••••••••
Of course we don't require it but we sure would appreciate it if you did. We feel that sketches are a valuable tool and just like the other supplies you use, feel they deserve a spot in your supply list too.

Can I use the sketches from Sketch Support for kits or classes to sell?
••••••••
No. We just don't feel that it is right having others charge for something that we are offering for free. The sketches on this site are for personal use and should not be used for profit. Plus, we have always worked under the guideline that if we are going to provide and profit from services like classes and kits, they should be our own designs. We hope that others, as professionals in this industry, would work under a similar guideline.

Can I submit a layout based on a Sketch Support sketch for publication?
••••••••
Yes, but it is important that you include in your supply list that the design came from a Sketch Support sketch. A few publications feature a page of sketches that are usually based off of layouts within that issue. It's only fair to the publisher that you let them know up front that the layout is already based on a sketch. Don't be shy about putting the credit in your supply list. Is had been our experience that most publications don't have a problem publishing layouts from sketches or putting the credit in the supply list.
