I'm thrilled that Add-on Week is here! A word collage might not seem that exciting but I think throughout this week you will be amazed at what an interesting element it can be on any project, big or small. Not only that, but also just how many different ways you can use it.
Add-on Sketch #2
You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the add-on sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.
Products used - Patterned papers: Echo Park; Gumdrop: Martha Stewart; Letters: Jillibean Soup (santa), Making Memories (glitter and block), Joann (cheer)
I used Allison's add on sketch this month for the title on my layout. Here is Tobin's first Santa photo. He was simply fascinated by Santa and looked over to smile for the camera when I clapped for him. I didn't need to do any journaling so I was able to use a large space on the layout for the title. To fill out the empty spaces left between words, I used a gumdrop, rhinestone, and some drawn in dots.

I didn’t change anything but the words! I created the collage in Photoshop Elements and then printed it out on cardstock.

Bonus Download
This month we've got a bonus download for the add-on. If you like the sketch collage as it is you can print out our color version of it to use on your projects.
"Love" card by Allison Davis
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye; Embroidery floss: DMC
This card had to be one of the fastest I've ever made. I printed out the word collage and cut it down to the 3" x 6" size. The card base is 6" x 6" (folded from 6" x 12"). I hand stitched on the background square and around the edge of the heart on the word collage. To finish it I added the two scallop strips on each side of the word collage. Super easy!

Is it possible to make this in word since I don't have photoshop??
Allison, I too am excited about this sketch.
Noey-your layout is sweet. I love those corrugated letters.
Katrina-I wish I knew how to use photoshop, you did a fabulous job on your card.
Allison-thanks for sharing the download. I am going to use that for sure.
I have a feeling that everyone is going to enjoy this week.
Dawn, it's a PDF so you should be able to download and print just like you do the sketches. :)
Dawn, if you want to create a new collage in word, you will just have to create multiple text boxes, one for each word. You will need to change the text directions and color of some of the words and choose no color on the text box.
Oh I love these, especially the change in color version!! Great job!!
Thank you Allison and Shari for your tips. Will have to try this because it looks so fun. Thanks again Allison for the download.
Thanks for the bonus! Loving all these creations!
