Card Sketch #8
"Happy Day" card by Jill Sarginson
Supplies - Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Walk in the Park collection); Kraft Paper: Recollections; Tools: Fiskars Bracket border punch, Creative Memories circle punch; Stickers: Echo Park Paper; Alphabets: Echo Park Paper; Miscellaneous: chipboard, Anchor floss
I decided to flip this sketch and work with circles as opposed to rounded squares. I kept the general design the same except I moved the two vertical pieces of pattern paper to the edge of my card vs. having it run up the middle.
When using stickers, consider mounting them on chipboard to pop them off your project. You don't have to cut the chipboard precise - just cut it in roughly the same size and stick it to your sticker. Then, adhere the chipboard to your project.

I pretty much kept to the sketch here with the exception of using circles as opposed to rounded squares In fact I used the scraps from my other card to make this one.

Yes very bright and cute I love kraft it works with bright colors well.
Love the circles and the way you flipped the sketch. Great colors!
Awesome! Really love the stitching on the circles too.
I love your cards Jill. I agree with the others, I really like that you changed it to circles.
Jill, Fantastic!! The bird card reminded me to use the sketches as a START - that it's great to think outside the box, in this case, think in circles! How do you keep your stitches so evenly spaced when you punch the holes?? I found the site a month ago, and didn't think I'd really like card week but I LOVE it.
