Card Sketch #15

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Thank You" card by Shari Thurman
Supplies - Patterned paper, Rub-ons and Trim: October Afternoon; Alphabet: American Crafts; Cardstock: Bazzill; Adhesive: ATG by Scotch; Ink: Colorbox Chalk Ink (Chestnut Roan); Thread: Coats and Clark

Variation #1: I used the card as the background and placed 1 1/2" plaid strip and 1/2" polka dot strip at the top. I then used a 1 1/2" plaid strip and 1/4" polka dot strip at the bottom of the card.

Variation #2: I machine stitched the trim to the polka dot strip and machine stitched the 1/4" strip with regular and zig zag stitching also.

Variation #3: I used rub-on snowflakes and machine stitched with cream and red thread.

I love using my Christmas paper collections to create thank you notes after the holidays. This was a fun sketch to work with.

I am not a big fan of winter (except for the hockey, of course) but I do love to used the winter collections.

Shari - Beautiful. I like that you used red for your main colour. The glitter letters are perfect and the pom poms are adorable.

Lynette - He really is a Snow Angel. Look and those little toes. I love your hanging snowflakes and the way you did your words along the bottom. Brilliant.
