Card Sketch #15

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Birthday Presents" by Virginia Nebel
Supplies List - Cardstock: Neenah; Patterned paper: Echo Park, Jillibean Soup; Embellishments: My Minds Eye, KaiserKraft; Alphabets: Jillibean Soup

Variation #1 - I kept the card 4 x 7 but changed the orientation to landscape.

Variation #2 - Instead of stitching, I used striped twine.

Variation #3 - I used various sized circle punches to cut out snowflakes from patterned paper accented with jewels in the middle.

“Merry & Bright” by Andrea Friebus
Supply list - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper: We R Memory Keepers; Alphabets: Little Yellow Bicycle, American Crafts, Jenni Bowlin Studios; Embellishments: Crate Paper, Imaginisce, Jillibean soup, Kaiser Craft; Embroidery floss: DMC; Ink: Clearsnap

Variation #1- Instead of a card, I made a one-page layout so I had to stretch the sketch a little bit taller to make it work for my page.

Variation #2 - Since my layout was already very linear, I decided to stitch wavy, loopy lines for the snowflakes, rather than the straight lines in the sketch.

"Snow Work" by Suzanna Lee
Supply List - Cardstock: Coredinations; Patterned paper: Little Yellow Bicycle, Echo Park, Best Creations; Letter stickers: Lily Bee; Stickers: Little Yellow Bicycle; Stamps: Unity Stamps; Glitter: Martha Stewart; Bling: Container Store; Die Cuts: Recollections

Variation #1 - A layout!! Not a card. And, likely, not a surprise! I kept the over all placement of the elements with the strips and dangling snowflakes but had to stretch it all to fit my 12 x 12 layout.

Variation #2 - I used bling upon which to dangle my snowflakes from.

Virginia, I like how you flipped the sketch and did your card sideways. That penguin is adorable.

Andrea - Your layout is perfect with your title. His face is looking very 'merry & bright'. The stitched lines look awesome too.

Suzanna - I love what you did with this collection. The bling instead of stitching and the embossing are great touches. Very nice.
