Add-on Week, Part 1

Add-on Sketch #15

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the add-on sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"His Car" by Janette Kincaid

Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: Echo Park, We R Memory Keepers; Chipboard Alpha: Sassafras; Wire rimmed tag: Darice Inc.; Embroidery floss: DMC; Red Hemp String: Martha Stewart; Journal Pen: Zig; Adhesive: Glue Arts, Helmar; Unknown: toothpicks, squewer, chenille trim, buttons

I can tell you right now that I’ll be adding lots of these little flags to my layouts from now on. They were so simple and easy – and can be made with the scraps you would normally throw in the trash.

Variation #1 - I added some stitching and a button to the top flag for additional interest.

Variation #2 – I added foam squares behind the flags to add depth to my layout.

Variation #3 – I staggered the heights as shown in the sketch, I think the odd numbers of 3 or 5 works the best for this type of grouping.

Variation #4 – My toothpicks were pointed on both ends so I just cut one tip off with my scissors and...voila!

“Youer Than You” by Andrea Friebus

Variation #1- I decorated my flags with words and buttons rather than hearts and used cardstock for the posts instead of toothpicks.

"Old." by Suzanna Lee
Supply List - Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned paper: Pebbles Inc, Jillibean Soup, SEI, Best Creations; Letter stickers: American Crafts; Stickers: October Afternoon; Pin Sticks: Maya Road; Chipboard: Teresa Collins; Brad: Crate Paper

Variations:

There aren't as many flags as the sketch calls for, I didn't have enough room. The chipboard flag isn't flying from a flagpole. I used pin sticks instead of toothpicks.
