"Family" by Penny Grimsley
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: October Afternoon; Stamps: Lawn Fawn, Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday; Ink: Jenni Bowlin; Black Glaze Pen: Sakura; Photo Corner Punch: Martha Stewart; Red Metal Frame: JoAnn Fabrics

I spotted this metal frame at JoAnn's and thought it could be a fun perpetual frame. I used the punch to make photo corners so that I can change my picture out over time. The little pennants are attached to the frame via magnet, so I can move them around or change them out, too, as seasons change or as my photo changes.

"All You Need Is Love" by Janette Kincaid

Supplies - Patterned paper: BoBunny, We R Memory Keepers; Brads: American Crafts; Embroidery floss: DMC; Journal Pen: Zig; Adhesive: Glue Arts, Helmar; Unknown: toothpicks, skewer, wire, buttons

I loved making these little flags. They were so simple and easy. I can’t believe I hadn’t tried to make them before. I have definitely become a big fan. I know they will become a new favourite embellishment.

Variation #1 - I used a BBQ skewer that I stumbled upon at the grocery store for the largest flag.

Variation #2 – I added foam squares behind the flags to add depth to my layout.

Variation #3 – I varied the length and width of all three flags to add interest.

Variation #4 – Since the patterned paper was quite detailed, I chose not to add any additional embellishments.
