Card Sketch #17

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Happy Birthday" card by Lynette Jacobs
Supply list - Cardstock: Worldwin; Printed Papers: Echo Park (little boy); Felt plane: Autumn Leaves (Cute World); Stitches rubons: Kaisercraft; Die: Quickutz.

I did this card strictly according to the sketch.

"Happy Birthday" card by Noey Hunt
Products used - Patterned papers: Jillibean Soup (stripes), Chatterbox (pink); Stamp: Close to My Heart; Tools: Cricut Birthday Bash cartridge

Variation 1: I kept my project pretty true to the sketch. The only change I made was how I embellished the central decorative square. Instead of a long message with a few small embellishments, I used a large die cut to emphasis which birthday is being celebrated and a small message.

“Happy Birthday” card by Sue Althouse
Supplies - Patterned Paper: My Mind's Eye (Six by Six Blink of an Eye); Tools: Creative Memories (corner rounder), Fiskars (star punch), Tonic Studios (flower punch); Stamp: Hero Arts; Ink: Colorbox (Chestnut Roan), Tim Holtz Distress Ink (Vintage Photo)

My mom has a leap year birthday and I made this card to celebrate her special day.

Variation #1 - Rounded the edges of the corners.

Variation #2 - Made a smaller card and adjusted the sizes to fit.

Variation #3 - Added additional patterned paper to the strips and the tag.

Variation #4 - Attached a brad to the center of the flower.

Variation #5 - Used stars in place of some of the flowers.

Variation #6 - Omitted the flourish and sewing.
