Card Week, Part 4

••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Several times we've shown a sketch and a few projects that have flipped it. I admit I was surprised when I saw the two cards below, both flipped versions of the sketch. Before I didn't really see this one as flippable but know I see the possibilities, thanks to Katrina and Melissa. I think you'll love how different these look from the sketch yet it's obvious that that's were the inspiration came from.

Card Sketch #4

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Hello Girlfriend" card by Katrina Hunt
Supplies -  Cardstock: American Crafts;  Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket (Togetherness); Ribbon: BoBunny; Punch: Martha Stewart; Stamp: Unity (Stamp Kit of the Month); Adhesive: Scotch and Fabri-Tac

• Variation 1 - Flipped the sketch.

• Variation 2 - Used a punch to punch the strips.

• Variation 3 - Moved the sentiment to an appropriate place to be read.

• Variation 4 - Used ribbon at the top of the card.

"Hello" card by Melissa Elsner
Supplies - Cardstock: Recollections and Bazzill Basics Paper; Patterned Paper, Alphabet Stickers, and Hot Air Balloon: Webster's Pages; Pearls: Kaisercraft

Variation #1: I flipped the sketch but stayed true to all the measurements.

Variation #2: I decided to add some dimension by mounting the sentiment block on some pop dots. Then I added the hot air balloon next to my 'hello'.

Variation #3: I used a corner punch to on the base of the card to flow with the rounded corners of the sentiment block.
