"Like a Turtle" by Katrina Hunt
Supplies - Cardstock: The Paper Studio; Patterned Paper: Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker (Beatrice and We Are Family Collections); Letter Stickers: American Crafts, Rusty Pickle, Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Button: Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Craft Flag: Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Bread(less) tab: Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker; Ink: Jenni Bowlin; Adhesive: Helmar (Tape Runner, Zap Dots, Scrap Dots); Scissors: Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors; Tools: Cricut Expression with April Showers and Gypsy Cartridges

As soon as I saw the sketch, my border loving self kicked in! I knew after I saw it, I had no other choice than to use it as a border! I didn’t do the stitching aspect, I just used two different pattern papers, cut them with the Cricut at two different sizes and then layered them.

The grass was made with Martha Stewart Fringe Scissors.

Here's a closer look at the details:

"Birthday Party" card by Melissa Elsner
Supplies - Paper, Die Cuts, Banner Sticker: Pink Paislee; Resin Flower: Maya Road; Ribbon: Offray, Liquid Pearls: Ranger Industries; Pen: Zig Memory System; Electronic Cutter: Silhouette SD; Corner Punch: EK Success

Variation #1: To make the diamonds for the argyle pattern I created three diamonds in the Silhouette software using the dimensions given in the sketch. I then welded them together and cut them out. This made it super easy to create the shapes from scratch!

Variation #2: Instead of stitching, I simply used my ruler to measure out the criss cross lines and then drew them with my Zig pen.

Variation #3: This pattern worked perfectly as a backdrop for the cupcake and the sentiment.
