Every six months at Scrapbook Generation Publishing we come out with another volume of Sketches for Scrapbooking. Since July 1 was the release date of the newest Sketches for Scrapbooking, Volume 8 we thought we would share one of our favorite sketches from the book. So this week you get to see (and print) a sketch from the book and what our creative team did with it!
I usually don't pick favorites when it comes to sketch but this one just might be one! It might be that I love stars and this one has a whole lot of them or it could be that the picture sizes are the easiest to work with. We all know that it's always easiest to print a 4 x 6 and use it as is but I also think 4 x 4" photos are just as easy. They are the one size that is almost always easy to crop out of a 4 x 6 in either orientation.
There are also lots of other photo sizes you can use like:
• Use three horizontal 4 x 6 photos in place of the three 4 x 4 photos on the right page.
• Use a vertical 4 x 6 in place of the bottom 4 x 4 on the left page.
• Use two rows of 3 x 3 or 4 x 4 in place of the one row of 4 x 4 photos on the right page.
• Use a 4 x 6 in place of the 4 x 4 on the far left
• Use four 2 x 2 photos in place of any 4 x 4 photo on the page.
We've got so many layouts to share this week that I can't wait to get started! And you might want to keep checking the Creative Team member's blogs. There might be some giveaways going on this week!
Speaking of giveaways...
Today we are giving away a copy of the newest book: Sketches for Scrapbooking, Volume 8. It's the next book in our series with 30 new two-page sketches. To be eligible, leave a comment, we'll randomly pick a winner, and announce it on Wednesday.
