"Party Hat" by Melissa Bell
Supply List - Patterned Paper: DCWV; Ink: ColorBox Chalk Ink; Distressing Tool: Making Memories; Pop Dots: EK Success; Party Hat Template: jones design company; Other: Staples, Glue Gun

The minute I saw this sketch I knew that I wanted to make an actual party hat. There are a lot of tutorials and templates that can be found online. I used the template provided by jones design company.

There are so many possible ways to decorate a party hat. I kept mine pretty simple since I didn't make it for a specific occasion. I may have to wear it later this month when my birthday rolls around.

"Happy Birthday to You" card by Christy Arthur
Products - Elle's Studio: birthday pennants; Jillibean Soup: Pasta Fagioli Blended Beans; Sassafras: Mix and Mend Fancy Free; My Minds Eye: Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky Together and Fly a Kite Spring Zag; We R Memory Keepers: 72 & Sunny Alphabet; Studio Calico: Mister huey Orchard, Homefront Conversation Piece, Fly By; Scenic Route: Loveland Jade Drive and Ruby Ave; Crate Paper: Portrait Bridesmaid, Restoration Slipcover; Bazzill: Cardstock

I decided to simplify the sketch and use punched circles instead of lines like the sketch.

I layered the circles, lifting them on the bottom slightly to give a little texture.

Instead of a star on top, I used a birthday pennant.

I added a scalloped border under the circles similar to the sketch.
