"Delight" by Lynette Jacobs
Supply list - Cardstock: Bazzill; Printed Papers: Websters (Yacht Club); Brads: Boxer; Letters: Bella Boulevard; Other: jute string and ribbon

I cut the bottom of the paper above the picket fence and used the top part for the scalloped paper. I used the brown bazzill to form a contrast with the softer colors of the Websters papers.  I added faux stitching to the outer circle and brads to the scallops. It still looked a bit bare so I added the two kites to the sides.

I matted the photo with another piece of Bazzill and used my scallop scissors around it and then added the little white dots to the scallops.

I used this weeks’ card sketch as the base or starting point to my layout. I measured out and cut the large grey circle using the scalloped circle as a template. I dug out my high school math kit and used the compass to trace a circle, I knew I wanted the grey one a little bigger. Then I traced and cut the stripe paper knowing that I wanted almost 2” of the scallop to show. Then I traced and trimmed the grey circle a bit bigger than the stripe, stealing this from the inside of the large circle.

When I placed the grouping of large circles on the background paper I felt like the page needed ‘something’ on the left side. I decided to slice into the paper with an exacto knife, tracing around the pre-printed leafy pattern at the bottom left but not too close to the edge. This created a ‘slot’ to insert the large circles into and added some additional layering to the page.

I used the idea of the larger circle with the cupcake in the middle for the cloud and kite embellishment in the left corner of the layout. I took a fabric strip and stamped the cloud image on it in yellow and pink. Then I laid the clear stamp on top of the stamped image and misted it in pink. I added some stitching around the clouds to give them some pop.

Then, I added a kite embellishment with a twine string and washi tape for ribbons.
