Card Sketch #12, Simple Stories Product Challenge, and our October Guest Designer

•••••••••••••••••••

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

Another month and another round of sketches! We've got some fun things planned for October so it's bound to be a great month!

Card Sketch #12 has a bit of a square theme to it if you haven't noticed! The base, the background pieces, and the two front pieces are all square. Not only does that make this card incredibly easy to put together but it also has lots of squares to work in lots of colors, patterns, and layers.

Simple Stories Product Challenge

If you've been visiting Sketch Support for awhile you probably remember our last product challenge. Well, we had so much fun we decided to do it again! This month our product challenge features the wonderful products from Simple Stories! One (of many) great things about Simple Stories is how easy their products make scrapbooking. You should definitely check out their products on their blog.

If you weren't around for the first challenge or just need a little refresher, here's how it will work:

• Simple Stories has provided a kit of the same products from their Happy Day collection to each member of our Creative Team. Here's a look at what we are working with for this challenge:

 • Each Friday you'll see projects from the Creative Team based on the October sketches using the products in our kits from Simple Stories.

• The rules are that the projects have to be 90% Simple Stories. We allowed some products like cardstock, stitching, brads, mists, ribbon/twine etc. Things that are mostly accent pieces.

• The fun part? You get to sit back and see how using the same sketches and even the same products can produce very different results! It always amazes me how each person sees the sketches and the products in such varying ways.

• This time the sketches have all been based on the Simple Stories products. They have such great and unique papers for creating simple, yet fun pages that I couldn't resist building the sketches around them. The best part is that they will work with all the collections from Simple Stories since their collections follow the same foundation. There might also be some sketch surprises too!

• We'll also have challenges for you too and chances to win some prizes each week! So don't forget to check back every Friday to see our Simple Stories projects and how you can play along too.

I am honored and excited to be the October Guest Designer here at Sketch Support! I own all of Allison's Sketches for Scrapbooking books and reach for them often. Their clean design, space for plenty of pictures, and room for title and journaling is just the way I like to scrap! This summer I was a student in Allison's sketch class over at My Creative Classroom and learned so much about how to use the sketches to their full potential. I would recommend that class to anyone who loves these sketches! Hope everyone enjoys my projects this month and can take a minute to come on over and visit my blog!
