This is a Thanksgiving layout, even though it may not look like one. In 2009 my husband and I were on a special diet and agreed not to break the diet for a big Thanksgiving feast. Instead, we shared a simple meal and then grabbed our camera and went for a nice hike around our city's Town Lake. It was a crisp, pretty day, and we had a great time together (and there were more people doing the same thing than we expected). The added benefit was there were no leftovers to tempt us!

My title is supposed to imitate the way the "Friends" episodes were all named (like "The One Where Ross and Rachel Take a Break").

I loved working with this sketch, so I stayed quite true to it. But I did change it up just a little:

•  I used twice the number of different patterned papers than the sketch called for (10 rather than 5). I was having so much fun laying out my strips that I got a little carried away! However, to ensure that the two pages were obviously two halves of the same whole I made sure that each side shared three patterns with the other (the yellow and white horizontal stripe, the multicolored flower and the multicolored horizontal stripe).

•  To add to the "sweater weather" feel of the layout I added a few rows of crochet to the bottom edge of the background.

Janice,

This is such a cute page, love the title and how you got it. You are very committed to eating healthy then because for me Thanksgiving is the day I do eat and eat again. Then I head to the track and walk and walk. This is my favorite holiday next to Halloween. Kuddos to you for having the willpower on Thanksgiving and how awesome your hubby was on your side.

Great layout, great colors and pictures!!
