One-page Sketch #21

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the one-page sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Pukaskwa Lake Superior" by Michele Edwards
Supplies - Cardstock: American Crafts; Patterned paper: Scrapbook Walls, TPC Studio, Reminisce; Tree brads: unknown; Embellishments: Dragonfly, Natures Illusions; Alphabets: Cricut (Plantin Schoolbook), Glossy Accents; Floss: DMC; Ink: Tim Holtz

We LOVE Lake Superior! We visited Pukaskwa National Park in July 2009. We had the place to ourselves, we walked alone on all the beaches, on the trails ... there's so much to love in Superior.

Variations

1. I stretched the sketch into a two-page layout.

2. I moved the 2.5 x 2.5 inch picture and the journaling onto page 2.

3. I shortened the background strips to allow for a 1 inch border on each side of the layout. Then I stitched around the entire background block.

"Please Feed the Animals" by Noey Hunt
Products used - Patterned papers: SEI (most papers), Creative Memories (background); Accents: Deja Views (journaling block), Little Yellow Bicycle (quote); Letters: American Crafts Thickers (grey), Making Memories; Tools: SIlhouette (turtles)

Variation 1: Expanding to a double pager. My biggest change on this sketch was expanding it to fit a on a double page. I chose to just extend the background strips and use all large photos on the right hand side.

Variation 2: Accents: I moved the accents and title around to cover the full double page area.

Awsome! I love both the double pages. I need to see other stretching a one-page sketch to a double-page, so I may be able to do so myself.
