"To Be Outside" by Carolyn Wolff
Supply List - Patterned Paper: My Mind’s Eye; Alphabet Stickers: American Crafts Thickers; 3D Stickers: My Mind’s Eye; Floss: We R Memory Keepers; Ink: Ranger Distress Ink, Vintage Photo;
Bakers Twine: Jillibean Soup; Button: unknown; Floss: We R Memory Keepers; Brads: From My Stash

The photos in this layout were taken on Mother’s Day. I have 3 cats and for the most part, they are indoor animals. Once the nicer weather comes, they do enjoy being outside. This is Cooper! He is always so happy when he gets the chance to explore the outside world.

Variation #1 – Instead of having a solid piece of paper for the background, I decided that I would create squares out of pattern paper and accent the page that way. The yellow squares measure 3 5/8 inches and the layer of polka dot paper measures 3 3/8 inches.

Variation #2 – I flipped the photos so the larger one was on the left and the smaller one was on the right. This was so that I could accommodate the embellishments that were overlapping the photo. I was working with enlarged photos so my large photo mat measures 5 ½ x 6 ½ inches and the small one measures 3 ½ x 5 ½ inches.

Variation #3 – I replaced the striped strip that is shown in the sketch with a decorative border. I created this border by cutting apart one of the cardstock frames that come with the My Mind’s Eye collection. I pieced together the strips and layered a strip of the yellow pattern paper on top. I added the black brads for accent.

Variation #4 – A page is not complete without some stitching, so I added a criss-cross border along the top right of my background. I also wrapped some twine around the smaller photos and added the heart button (because I ‘heart’ Cooper)!.

"Not Quite Sure" by Mireille Divjak
Supply list - Patterned paper: We R Memory Keepers - Fiesta line; Alphabets: Tim Holtz Grungeboard; Dimensional pearls: Ranger; Date stickers and paper clip: 7 gypsies; Chipboard Stars: Heidi Swapp; Star Bling: Teresa Collins; Sew Easy: We R Memory Keepers; Embossing Folder: Tim Holtz, clocks

I made a few changes on the sketch. When I was busy printing my journaling my printer died on me.
Great. So I had to think of something else. I wrote my journaling on a tag and hid it behind the picture. I also put the title slightly lower and more centered.

I shot these pictures of Noah just before he turned four. He was so "in between". He didn't want to go to his preschool anymore. He was the oldest kid there and he thought everything was very childish and there were a lot of babies. He had to go practise for kindergarten but he was so nervous. Because of that he sat on that bench for a while and then confessed he was a little scared. So we postponed the "kindergarten practising" a week... let him get used to the transferring school idea.

aww - love the kitty LO! mine just came back after a frightening day+ absence, so I'm sentimental I guess - makes me want to scrap some pics of him like this.
