Card Sketch #9

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the card sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Happy Birthday" card by Christina Hoffman
Supplies - Patterned paper: Bella Blvd.; Alphabet: Cosmo Cricket (Happy) and The Paper Studio
(Birthday); Embroidery Thread: DMC; Jewels: KaiserCraft.

The only changes I made to this sketch was I used jewels on the stars instead of stitching and I only stitched on one of the strips.

"Happy Birthday" card by Tammy Volland
Supplies - Digital Kit by: Sherri Tierney / Star Struck; Software used: Adobe Photoshop CS3

I didn't vary too much from the actual sketch but did make a few minor changes. I added drop shadows to all pieces. For the title I used the font Chinacat with a drop shadow and beveled it in a inner bevel of 5 px.

Variation #1 - For the stitching I use ribbon at the top and added a second row to give some color dimention and also in the second row. For the bottom I linked the two layers together by sewing them together part way.

Variation #2 - I added staples to the middle section.

Variation #3 - I added a embellishment at the bottom and stapled it there.

Variation #4 - I added a swirl paper clip at the top just to give some balance.

 "Celebrate" card by Allison Davis
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: We R Memory Keepers; Alphabet: My Little Shoebox; Pearls: unknown

I followed the sketch almost exactly with the exception of the size of the stars. Using a little bit larger size didn't alter any other part of the card other than there is a little less space at the top and bottom of the card.

Somehow stitching pops up on almost all my LOs. I don't have a machine, so I need to poke all the holes myself. This great tool would make the proces go a lot faster!

Arianne, you can email me at allison@scrapbookgeneration.com with your shipping information so we can get that prize to you!
