"Happy Birthday" card by Jill Sarginson
Supplies Used - Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: American Crafts, October Afternoon, Doodlebug, My Little Shoebox; Tools: circle punch, Creative Memories circle cutting system, Bazzill In Stitz circle stitching template; Ink: Vibrance: Floss: DMC; Cupcake Sketch: Add-on Sketch #3, Sketch Support
I kept to the sketch pretty closely here. An easy way to create a scalloped circle is to punch a bunch of circles out with a punch, cut them in 1/2 (or 3/4 length) and then adhere them to a punched out circle. The cupcake was made with various sizes of circle punches, some pop dotted. I chose to stitch around the seam to bring out the brown a bit more and to smooth the lines on the card.

Supplies - Cardstock: My Mind's Eye; Buttons: unknown; Memory Wire and Embroidery floss: DMC;Cupcake Sketch: Add-on Sketch #3, Sketch Support
Christina used the card sketch to make a decoration for her cupcake display. The only difference between the sketch and her decoration is that she removed the largest circle. The rest of it follows the sketch exactly.

"One" tag by Christy Arthur
Products - Jenni Bowlin: Chewing Gum Ink; Bazzill: cardstock and In Stitch'z pink/yellow floss; Elles Studio: Mix and Match Vintage numbers; Cosmo Cricket: Girl Friday Monday and Borders; Studio Calico: Piglet Ink; My Minds Eye: Lime Twist Life of the Party Bon Bon
I made a tag for a little girl who is celebrating her first birthday using the August Card Sketch. I kept the concept of the smaller and larger circles in the sketch, but made them at a smaller scale. I clustered the circles around the front of the tag and added a little stitching to a few. Then, I added the "one" circle to the center of the lower circle. I added a tiny stitched circle in the middle of the tag and punched holes around the circle to accent it. Then I added a little color with mist and ink to finish it up.
