Two-page Sketch #18
You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the two-page sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.
"I Wanna Go Underwater..." by Allison Davis
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned paper: Echo Park; Stickers: Echo Park; Alphabet stickers: Echo Park (underwater, fish) and Making Memories; Brads: We R Memory Keepers; Embroidery floss: DMC
• Variation #1 - I had a few vertical photos that I loved and wanted to include on this layout that, thankfully, had room for cropping. I cut them down to 3 x 4 to use in place of one of the 6 x 4 photos on the right page.
On the left page, instead of cropping my photos to 3 x 3 as suggested on the sketch I cropped mine a little larger to 3 1/4. Any smaller than that and I would have been chopping off Jackson's fingers. Since it was such a small difference in size, there wasn't a need for any adjustments.
• Variation #2 - Instead of having a wave pattern cut out of the top of both the strips going across the page I used a strip with a wave pattern on it for the larger one. To add a little extra detail I added hand stitching to a few of the designs.
For the second, smaller strip I cut a wave design from a piece of patterned paper and adhered it with foam adhesive.
• Variation #3 - I moved the embellishment in the top left corner (the sun) down a little next to the "fish" in my title. I used a small splash sticker and a fish sticker to enhance the word "fish" in my title.

"We Share a History" by Lynette Jacobs
Supply list - Background paper: Bo Bunny; Printed Papers: Websters, Yacht Club; Trims: Websters, Yacht Club; Letters: Websters
• On this layout I replaced the two waves with two different trims.
• I cut the boat and the lighthouse from Websters printed paper and used it as embellishments.

Supply List - Cardstock: American Crafts, Coredinations; Patterned Papers: Karen Foster, Best Creations, Bo Bunny; Die-Cuts: Fancy Pants; Alpha Stickers: Pink Paislee; Adhesive: 3L, EK Success; Brads: unknown; Floss: DMC; Sanding tools: Basic Grey; Template for Stitching: Crafters Workshop; Black Marker: Ultra Fine Sharpie
Variation #1 – I loved the wave pattern on the sketch. We just returned from a week at a cottage and I had lots of photos that would work with a wave. I cut mine from a pattern paper and then layered the striped pattern on top along with the fish die-cuts.
Variation #2 – For the large swirl on the right page, I used a die-cut from Fancy Pants. It worked perfectly with my papers and did all the work for me. I add some die-cut water droplets and some brads for accent.
Variation #3 – I moved my journaling up to the top of the right page. I used a black sharpie and my ruler to draw the lines. I added stickers and a water droplet to finish it off.
Variation #4 – My photos are matted with orange cardstock. They pretty much follow the sketch with the exception of the one in the lower left of the left page. I combined the 2 3x3’s and made it a 3x6 instead.
Variation #5 – I added a black border around my background with the black sharpie and my ruler.
