Two-page Week, Part 3

•••••••••••••••
Two-page Sketch #20

You can download and print this sketch by clicking on the two-page sketches link found under the "printable sketches" tab on the right sidebar.

"Play Football" by Carolyn Wolff
Supply List - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Bella Blvd; Stickers/Chipboard: Bella Blvd; Journal Die-cut: Little Yellow Bicycle; Football Die-cut: Svg file from SvgCuts; Alphas: Queen & Co; Border Punch: Fiskars; Sanding Tool: Basic Grey; Stamps: My Favourite Things; Ink: Memento, Ranger; Brads: unknown

Another awesome 2-page sketch!

Variation #1 – I used all 4x6 vertical photos instead of the sizes shown on the sketch. I cut the photos slightly smaller so that they appeared to be matted by the black cardstock.

Variation #2 – For my title I used a banner for the first part and then continued with the rest of it.

I incorporated some footballs for the letter ‘o’.

Variation #3 – I eliminated one of the strips on the left side of page 2 and I added brads to my scalloped border along the bottom of my layout.

Variation #4 – My embellishments are themed around my photos. I replaced the large heart with a die-cut football.

I used stickers and other themed elements for the rest of the embellishment clusters around the page.

Variation #5 – I used a pre-made journal die-cut to record the statistics of my football star.

"Minnesota State Fair" by Jennifer Larson
Supplies - Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Studio Calico, American Crafts, My Mind's Eye; Flowers: Basic Grey; Stickers: Studio Calico, My Mind's Eye, Jenni Bowlin, 7gyspies; Chipboard letters: American Crafts/Studio Calico; Journaling spot: Studio Calico; Fabric Brads, shaped paper clips: American Crafts; Pen: Zig; Wood: Studio Calico; Punch: EK Success; Floss: DMC; Other: Machine Thread, buttons.

1. I used the sketch pretty much as is.

2. I did want to fit more photos on the page, so I moved the journaling to the left hand block and added another set of photos where the original journaling block was.

3. Rather than trimming or resizing many photos to 4x6, I used Photoshop elements to create a 4x6 template that contained 6 photots 2x2 in shape. No trimming required!

"Beware of the Woodland Creatures" by Amy Roller
Supplies - cardstock: Close To My Heart; patterned paper: DCWV, Scrap Within Reach; marker: Creative Memories; letters: American Crafts, Doodlebug, Girls Paperie, unknown

Variation #1: I changed several of my picture sizes to incorporate more photos. I also used a embellished block of pattern paper in place of one of the photos.

Variation #2: I left off the vertical stitching and the scalloped strip.

Variation#3: I added a few extra embellishments by the title.

Here is a look at more of the details:

"1st Trip to the Dentist" by Jill Sarginson
Supplies Used - Cardstock: Bazzill Basics; Patterned Paper: Pink Paislee; Ink: Vibrance; Embellishments: Kristin Aagard's Toothy Grin digital kit; Adhesive: Pop Dots; Title: Kristin Aagard's Toothy Grin digital kit; Tools: Fiskars Bracket border punch

• I reduced the sizes of the larger photos to 3.5x5 and substituted one of the vertical photos for two horizontal photos.

• I moved the embellishment cluster on the lower right hand side up so that it appears in the journaling section.

• I moved the title to the far left.

• I used a circle as the base of my embellishment cluster on the left side.
