"Beach Combers" by Lynette Jacobs
Supply list - Cardstock: Bazzill; Printed Papers: Websters (Yacht club); stickers: Websters (Yacht club); Crystal swirl: Prima; Flowers: Prima; Alphabet stickers: Websters (Yacht Club): Other: Martha Stewart punch

Variation #1: I faux stitched around the outside edge of the background with black pen.

Variation #2: I matted the back square with punched cardstock.

Variation #3: I changed the small 2.5 X 2.5 photos to 2.5 x 3.5 and matted the small photos on red cardstock.

Variation #4: I drew lines around the left side photos so that it stands out from the background.

"January Walk" by Jennifer Larson
Supplies - Patterned paper: Lilybee Designs, October Afternoon, Pink Paislee, My Mind's Eye; Alphabet stickers: October Afternoon; Chipboard Letters: American Crafts; Chipboard snowflakes: Maya Road; Woodgrain stamp: Studio Calico; Ink, Paint: Jenni Bowlin (grey, cream and yellow paint), Stazon (stamping ink on snowflakes); Embroidery floss: DMC; Label Stickers: Studio Calico; Journal Pen: Zig, American Crafts; Stitching template: Bazzill; Border Punch: Fiskars; Gems: Bazzill; Corner Rounder: EK Success

Variation #1 – For the most part, I kept the sketch the same, even printing photos in the exact sizes.

Variation #2 – I changed some embellishments to snowflakes since it was a winter page (even though we had no snow this winter, LOL!). I also added more.

Variation #3 – I liked the text paper background, since it reflected some of the theme for the page, an open road. As a result, I kept the journaling to a minimum and put it on the labels by the embellishments instead of covering the text paper.

Variation #4 – I liked the really dark grey wood paper on the right, so I added some to the left too. I also punched the right paper with a border punch.

“Fayette Historic Townsite” by Sue Althouse

Supplies - Most of my supplies came from the Studio Calico March main kit. Cardstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Echo Park (Style Essentials), Crate Paper (Story Teller), Lily Bee (Harvest Market), Studio Calico; Alphabet: Lily Bee (Harvest Market); Stamps: Technique Tuesday; Inks, Mists: Hero Arts, Creative Memories Brown Chalking Ink, Mr. Huey's Clay spray mist; Tools: Fiskars Border Punch (Postage Stamp), Creative Memories Square Punch; Stickers: Crate Paper (Story Teller), My Mind's Eye (Kraft Funday); Flowers: Amy Tan Fabric Flowers; Ribbon/Twine: We Are Memory Keepers (Sew Easy Fancy Floss)

This sketch was perfect to showcase more photos from our vacation to Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Variation #1 - Used a border punch on the end strips.

Variation #2 - Inked the edges of the patterned paper and the photos.

Variation #3 - Sewed around the background rectangle.

Variation #4 - Omitted the swirls.
